Meredith and Rich met when they were both working at Raytheon. Meredith was an intern at the time and quickly caught Rich's eye. Throughout the first half of her internship, Meredith would eat lunch with other interns where they would invite Rich and his friends to also attend. Meredith and Rich would talk over the company's chat messenger application almost every day at work and Meredith was elated when Rich finally asked her out on a date. They went to dinner at Lo Contes (where Rich eventually proposed to Meredith) in the North End (where they currently live). For the second half of the internship Meredith and Rich kept this budding romance a secret (shhh!) and the rest is history!
