This is our main hotel for guests interested in staying in Portland proper and would like to explore the city. A recently developed hotel with new boutique-style rooms, it is centrally located within walking distance of Pioneer Square, Powell's Bookstore and Providence Park. The post-wedding brunch will also (most likely) be located at this hotel. It is around a 20 to 30 minute drive to get to the venue from this hotel. Please note that this location has a fee of $40/day for valet parking, so we recommend the Clackamas location for guests who have a car. The booking code is active until July 15th, and the block rate is only available for 8/30 to 9/4. We recommend calling about the "Stroh Pepper wedding block" if you would like to book beyond that period.

Hampton Inn & Suites Portland-Pearl District

This is an alternative hotel for guests who are looking to stay in the city but slightly farther from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This location is in the Pearl District, in a quieter, more residential area of downtown (near where Max and Mer live themselves). It features a rooftop patio, the nearby World Market for guests looking for some great snacks or light prepared food, rather than a sit-down meal. Downtown is still easily accessible from this location via the Portland Streetcar, and it is within easy walking distance from Powell's Bookstore, the North Park Blocks, and several breweries. Please note that the Discount Code offers 12% off of the best available rate, and therefore is not a fixed rate. As with the Hyatt, it's around 20-30 minutes from the venue. The fee for valet is $48-$60 a day, so we recommend guests who plan to use a car book at the Courtyard location. This will be the hotel for guests who want to stay close to the venue, less than a five-minute drive. We also recommend this hotel for guests who are driving or planning on using a car extensively, as it has free parking. It is within walking distance as well from the Clackamas Town Center MAX train line, and also close to the Clackamas Mall. The room block via the link will be available until July 31, and the block rate is only available for 8/31 to 9/4. Portland Street Car

This street car line can serve guests looking to travel around the West Side and Inner East side of Portland. It includes the A and B loop, which covers Inner East side, and the N/S loop, which covers NW 23rd and South Waterfront. All Street Car lines cover the Downtown District and Pearl District. Please note that HopPass tickets are validated inside the street cars. Fare is $2 for a street car only ride, $2.50/$1.25 for 65+ for a combined Trimet and Streetcar ride, or $5/$2.50 for 65+ for an all day pass.

Trimet System

This mass transit system, made up of the Trimet Bus line and MAX Light Rail can service guests looking to explore outside of downtown Portland, with all Light Rail lines converging in Pioneer Square in Downtown. The MAX Light Rail has two important transportation options: -The Red Line, with stops from the Airport to the Western suburb of Beaverton -The Green Line, with stops from PSU to Clackamas Town Center. The latter stop is a short distance away from the venue as potential transportation. In addition to this, the MAX light rail line includes: -The Blue Line, with stops from the eastern suburb of Gresham to the Western suburb of Hillsboro -The Orange Line, with stops from PSU to the southern suburb of Milwaukie -The Yellow Line, with stops from PSU through Northern Portland to the Expo Center Please note that HopPass will need to be paid for outside of the MAX light rail at a kiosk before heading inside. Fare is $2.50/$1.25 for 65+ per ride or $5/$2.50 for 65+ for an all day pass.
