Wedding Party

Each person listed below are people that have encouraged and supported us along the way. We truly could not imagine our big day without them.

Kenya Andrews

Maid of Honor

I entered Spelman College not knowing anyone and searching for Godly women friends. Kenya was one of my first friends at Spelman College. Our friendship was quite rocky at first. I remember when we literally stopped being friends sometime freshman year, which ended up being a crucial growth period for our friendship. In that time, God worked on both of us. He has truly redeemed our friendship and transformed it for His glory, and I am so thankful for God's work on both us. Kenya has become someone that I can count on when I am low, high, or somewhere in between. I can honestly call her at anytime, and she will make herself available for me. She isn't afraid to call me out on my mess and push me towards godliness.

Best Uchehara

Best Man

Our friendship started at good ole' Hapeville Charter Career Academy. To be honest, we didn't really start talking until about late sophomore to junior year. Best has been an amazing friend and brother in Christ. Around senior year, Best helped me in my decision to attend Western Michigan University, and we prayed that God would allow me to be accepted into the aviation program. Throughout my college journey, Best has always been there for me. There was a specific time where I called Best because I was discouraged about my financial situation and not being able to afford school. Best prayed for me, and God provided! Truly grateful for my brother in Christ. So inspired by his walk with Jesus. Best is really a true friend.

Ladine Harvey

Maid of Honor

Ladine is my biological older sister but also someone I look up to. Growing up, she was everything I wanted to be. She was bold, sassy, smart, and daring. She always spoke her mind with little fear of the consequences, which often landed her in trouble with my mom. Lol. I remember attending her acting shows year after year with my family, and just watching how she was able to captivate a room with not just her acting-- but who she was. Over the years, I have seen how hard working and resourceful she is. Her tenacity reminds me so much of my mom. Never gives up. Always pushes forward. Knows how to dust herself off. As a result, she has so much wisdom and so much to offer to everyone around her.

Rodney Allen

Groomsman

I met Rodney during my sophomore year of college. At the time, I was still looking for a church home and started attending a church Rodney was attending. Rodney would pick me up for church services, and we would sometimes go out to eat afterwards and have good conversations. I remember when Rodney told me he was going vegan. Lol. I was honestly quite shocked because I did not know any black vegans. Lol. But I always admired Rodney's consistency and focus. Although I had my jokes about him being vegan, I always admired his work ethic. I remember all the times we would hoop, and I would give Rodney buckets. Lol. But in all seriousness, I appreciate our conversations and how you have challenged me in my walk in many ways.

Charlea Hearns

Bridesmaid

Charlea is my baby sister, and we had quite the relationship growing up. Lol. We were always bickering. My mom and her dad often had to intervene. But it has been so amazing to witness just how much she has grown and matured over the last few years. She is a go-getter, and she is absolutely unstoppable when she puts her mind to something. She wanted to start a youtube channel, and she did it. She wanted to start selling some of her food, and she did it. There is so much more to come from her, and I am excited to see where life takes her. AND might I add, her cooking is BOMB! (@chef_Charlyy)

Demarcus Baldwin

Groomsman

I remember growing up we would talk about football everyday. Lol. I remember all the stories you told me about Old National Knights. Some of the conversations we had are what led me to get active with sports. I remember how we would all stay on the Xbox till' like 1am in the morning putting in work on Call of Duty. Haha. I'm grateful to have you as a friend. It is always fun catching up with you and the gang, while talking about old memories at Hapeville Charter. I appreciate all the conversations we've had about sports, friends, God. etc. Even recently, hearing more about your relationship with God has been amazing! Grateful for all the good times bro!

Erin Enoch

Bridesmaid

I had the privilege of meeting Erin through Campus Outreach, a campus ministry, at Spelman College. Initially, we would just see each and talk at our girl gatherings. This eventually blossomed into so much more, when we became a part of the same discipleship group and lived in the same dorm. Erin's adventurous personality and big heart led us to the mall, restaurants, and various places around ATL. My favorite adventure with Erin was when we shared the gospel and handed out food to the homeless on my 21st birthday. My friendship Erin has taught me to be daring and to do things regardless of what anyone thought.

Skyler Norgaard

Groomsman

I remember the first time I met Skyler; we were in Pastor Nick's small group. It was a couple weeks later when Skyler started leading the group, and he did a study on Romans 5. He talked about how we should endure through our trials and tribulations because they produce godly character. Never forgot that small group. As time went on, our friendship began to grow. But then the group multiplied, and I ended up switching groups. Over the years, Skyler has been an amazing friend. He's prayed over me during some of my toughest seasons as a believer. We lived together over the summer of 2019, and that was a ton of fun! Thankful for all the conversations we've had about LITERALLY everything. Lol. Skyler is a true man of God that I look up to.

Taleah Tyrell

Bridesmaid

There is so much that I can say about how wonderful and meaningful my relationship with Taleah is. She is the type of friend that I do not necessarily have to talk to every singe day. But when we talk, I leave the conversation feeling encouraged. I know I can count on Taleah at all costs. She has been there for me on some of my most anxious and illogical days. We have both walked through some difficult seasons together, but Taleah has remained in my corner to bring me back to my senses when I am a HOT mess. My heart is truly grateful for her, and I could not imagine my life without her friendship.
