The Cathedral is in the heart of downtown Richmond, so parking can be tricky! Free parking is available along Cathedral Place, the road that wraps behind the church as well as free weekend parking two blocks away at the VCU parking deck (801 W. Main St.). Additional street parking is available on nearby streets. Upper Shirley Vineyards, our reception location, has plenty of parking close to the building. You can leave your car overnight, but we request you promptly retrieve your car the next morning.
Yes! Downtown Richmond offers a wide variety of boutique, chain, and local hotels. We love your children and love spending time with them! That said, we’ve decided to make our wedding reception an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives everyone a chance to unwind, enjoy a night off, and fully share in the joy of the evening. Thank you so much for understanding - we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Invitation Design: The original wedding invitation art was designed by Nathan's late grandmother, Linda Brumbaugh, who often used her talents to create invitations for family and friends. Her artwork was lovingly digitized and colored by Kassy Kozlowski. Cathedral Card: The picture of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart was hand-drawn by Nathan's sister, Sara Hearne. This beautiful illustration was also colorized by Kassy Kozlowski.
