How Do I RSVP?

Answer

Formal invitations, with RSVP instructions, will be sent as the wedding date approaches. If you already have a prior commitment and know that you will be unable to attend, kindly inform us at your earliest convenience.

What Is The Dress Code?

Answer

Dress to impress! Our wedding is Formal or Black Tie optional, meaning women should wear long dresses or gowns and men should wear formal tuxedos or dark suits. We kindly request that ladies avoid wearing white, ivory, champagne, or cream-colored attire, as these colors are reserved for the bride, as well as sage and olive green, which are designated for the bridal party. Thank you for your understanding!

Am I Allowed To Bring A Plus One?

Answer

If you received a plus-one, your guest's name will be listed on your save-the-date and invitation. If not, we hope you understand that we’re keeping the wedding an intimate celebration with our closest friends and family. Thank you so much for your understanding and support!

Are Children Invited?

Answer

We have chosen to make our special day an adults-only celebration to ensure all guests, especially parents, can fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to join us! Your understanding means the world to us, and we can't wait to celebrate with you.

Where Are The Ceremony And Reception Taking Place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the King Estate in Highland Park, the cherished home where Meredith grew up. This special location, her parents’ house, holds countless memories, and Meredith and Willie are thrilled to exchange vows there, surrounded by their favorite people. The cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Pennsylvanian in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Will There Be Transportation?

Answer

Yes! Shuttles will be available to transport guests from Downtown to the King Estate. Following the ceremony, the shuttles will take guests to the reception.

Will There Be Parking?

Answer

Parking at the King Estate is limited. To ensure a smooth and timely arrival, we recommend guests take advantage of the convenient shuttles or use ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft.

Will The Wedding Take Place Indoors Or Outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors. We’re hoping for beautiful weather, but we also have a backup plan in case it rains. The reception will be held indoors, so you should feel comfortable in your chosen attire. However, consider your personal preferences and plan accordingly for any outdoor moments. September weather in Pittsburgh typically features daytime highs around 78°F and evening lows near 56°F.

Will Accommodations Be Made For Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

We will offer a variety of meal options to accommodate all dietary needs. Guests will be able to choose from four options, which can be selected on the RSVP. Please also indicate any specific dietary restrictions or preferences. We're partnering with an excellent caterer who is happy to customize each meal to ensure it meets your needs.

Are There Hotel Room Blocks Or Other Accommodations?

Answer

We're currently arranging hotel blocks for our guests! Please visit the 'Accommodations' tab on our website to view the available options. Be sure to check back soon, as we're in the process of securing additional rooms.

Can I Take Photos And Videos?

Answer

We kindly ask that all phones and other devices be put away and on silent/turned off during our ceremony so that all guests can be fully present with us as we say "I do". However, we warmly welcome photos and videos as we exit as newlyweds and throughout the rest of the evening! We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to share this moment with you!
