Meredith and Rodney both grew up in the Hood River Valley and actually went to high school together, though they were one year apart. But (as those of you from Hood River know), they ran in verrryy different crowds. In the summer of 2013, both Meredith and Rodney were home from college and starting hanging out at a friend's house - which led to spending every minute of the rest of that summer break together! Their first official date consisted of star gazing in the back of a pick-up and the rest is history!

Rodney and Meredith spend as many winter season days as possible in the mountains of Colorado, but their favorite place to go is Mary Jane at Winter Park Resort. Meredith's best friend, Jill, was in town and the three of them were skiing at the highest point accessible by ski lift on the most beautiful blue-bird day, when Rodney decided he couldn't wait any longer to get down on one-knee. Jill acted as though she was taking photos, when in reality she was filming the whole proposal! Following Meredith saying "yes" (of course!!), they shared a champagne cheers at the Lunch Rock Lodge above 11,000 ft.
