The couple met at a social distance lake party amid a pandemic. A friend that went to college with Meredith rented a house on the lake and invited some friends from ECU. One of those friends brought along his roommate, Nash! The couple started chatting when Meredith mentioned the Elementary School she works at and Nash stated that he went to school there. They spent the day at the lake together and had an instant connection!

Nash and Meredith went to dinner at Suffolk Punch Brewery in South End. They had such a wonderful time that when the brewery was closing, they went across the street to Triple C Brewing Company for another drink before they had to split.

Nash and Meredith officially started dating and have been inseparable ever since!

Nash planned a private proposal at their home in Charlotte! Meredith arrived home to find a path of roses leading her to the living room. Nash played a video of their memories to their favorite Luke Combs song on the TV. Nash and Norman, their dog, were hiding outside and as the video was ending, Nash sent Norman in with a note stating 'Will you marry my daddy?' Nash came in shortly after and proposed. It was the most perfect and personal proposal!
