The Bottle Works District is amazing. In what used to be a coca cola bottling plant, you'll now find restaurants, boutiques, and bars. I suggest going to The Garage for lunch and then heading next door to Pins Mechanical for a beer and some duckpin bowling!
Meredith ranks Bakersfield queso dip as the best in the city, potentially the world. Served in a hot skillet, it's to die for. They also have margaritas by the pitcher, so consider that.
Really good pizzeria! Josh and I lived in the apartment caddy-corner to this and we would order pizza from here ALL the time. Very "diner"-esque!
Looking for a healthy, trendy place to eat lunch/brunch? Head to The Garden Table on Mass Ave! It's so cute! You'll probably see every Indy blogger there, so you know it's a good spot lol. I recommend the Acai Bowl and a juice flight!
Looking for the best fried chicken in the city? The Eagle is your spot. It's the best comfort food in Indianapolis, hands down. Plus they have a little patio so you can sit outside if you'd like!
Meredith fell in love with Upland beers during her time at Indiana University. They've now expanded to Indianapolis and their beer is so good! Upland Brewery does have a food menu as well! Meredith loves their sours and the Upland Wheat!
Great Mexican food and a great environment!!! Ask to be seated on the back patio and you'll find yourself enjoying ~island vibes~ lol
One of my favorite spots to walk and run, The Canal is a three mile loop and it's so cute! You can also rent bikes and bike around the canal or rent a pedal boat! Note - not the best spot at night but very, very safe during the day!!!
Pins is amazing! They have so many fun games, including duckpin bowling of course! Meredith is better at Josh at duckpin bowling and that's a great feeling for her. They also have ping pong, jenga, and bocce ball!
If you're looking to feel nostalgic, play Tappers, and have a nice beer, head to 16 BIT. It's a 90's themed arcade bar and it's amazing. It's dog friendly, too! What's not to love.
An old church turned into a brewery! St. Joseph brewery is right downtown and has a very unique vibe inside!
This is my favorite local coffee shop! Super cute and has a great aesthetic inside. Lots of bloggers stop by for photos!
Best burgers in the city! They also have great pretzel sticks with cheese. Nice little outdoor patio too!
Probably the nicest restaurant in Indianapolis. St. Elmo's Steak House is incredible. They're famous for their shrimp cocktail sauce. But beware, this isn't your $25 dining spot!
In one of the oldest buildings in the city you'll find the best beer garden! The Rathskeller is a great place to sit outside, enjoy a beer, and maybe eat a pretzel as big as your face. ALSO - the building is apparently haunted! A ghost hunters show has come to Indy and done a whole expose!
One of the few rooftops in Indy! It's a great spot to sit outside and take in the city views!
Do you need a quality cocktail and a vibey environment? The Exchange opened mid-pandemic and provides all of that!
Looking for a cute little knick knack store? Silver in the City is where it's at. I always find the most random things in this store!
The best candy shop in the world. Obviously, I'm obsessed lol. Buy Meredith some fun dip.
Interested in a workout? Climb to the top of the monument! It's several flights of stairs but it's a great view at the top and a fun way to spend an afternoon!
Nothing says Indianapolis like the Indy 500! It's just a quick Uber ride to the largest sporting arena in the world! You can take a tour of the museum and see what the 500 hype is all about!!!
