We're so excited to celebrate our love with you!!!

Let me start by saying that Josh and I have always been VERY cool. In high school, we were both super involved in student council (#StuCo if you will), both serving as student body president at our respective high schools (again, v cool). The summers before both my junior and senior year of high school, I attended SLI - a 5 day summer camp in Manchester, Indiana all about leadership. It was honestly so fun and you got to know so many people from other high schools. ANYWAYS, while I was there I met the nicest teacher, Mr. Bentz. We even have a profile picture together circa 2012! I also vaguely remember him telling me about his son, who was a camp counselor, but he and I never crossed paths. Fast forward to the summer after my freshman year of college (2014), I decided to apply to be a camp counselor at SLI. Upon arrival, all the counselors are paired up in groups of two and given 20 campers to "lead" for the long weekend. Josh and I were put together!!! I remember being like "omg Mr. Bentz's son is really cute!!!" (lolol). Even though Josh was 5 years my senior (old man, he already has back problems), we hit it off right away. Such an easy, natural friendship. Our campers were convinced we were in love. They actually named stuffed animals after us and held them a wedding which was honestly a little weird (hahahah). Several months later, after exchanging lots of text messages and phone calls, we decided to go on a date. We were at VERY different parts of our lives. Josh had just started his full time job as a financial planner in Kendallville and I had just moved in with 100 other girls to a sorority house at Indiana University. But I think we knew even then that what we had between us was really unique. A "comes-once-in-a-lifetime" kind of love. So we made it work and we had a lot of fun doing it. I can't believe, all these years later, we're getting married. Our campers were right. I should honestly reach out to them for wedding planning advice...
