We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than October 4th with the names of those attending. This ensures we have enough time to arrange seating and communicate with vendors in a respectful timeframe. We have included an RSVP card and return envelope in each invitation to make it easy for each guest!
All events of the evening will be at the Merrimon-Wynne House. We are hoping for beautiful North Carolina weather on November 4, so please prepare for an outdoor ceremony and dinner. Cocktail hour and dancing will be indoors.
Please arrive no later than 4:30-4:45 pm. This will give you plenty of time to park and be seated. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00, and we would like to avoid any distractions once the ceremony begins.
We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! The dress code is black tie optional. Gentlemen can wear a tuxedo or a suit and tie. Ladies can wear a floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dress. Boldly colored and patterned dresses are welcome, even encouraged, however please refrain from wearing shades of white, cream or ivory. Although our ceremony and dinner will be outside, the Merrimon-Wynne lawn is turf, so no need to worry about sinking heels!
Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those guests included on your invitation.
Yes! Transportation will be provided for our family and friends staying at either hotel we have reserved (The Renaissance and The Hampton Inn). There will be a shuttle to and from the venue at each hotel on November 4. Shuttles will be leaving each hotel at approximately 4:15 and 4:30 (two trips). Shuttles will have continuous rides back to each hotel later in the evening. You may also use Uber or Lyft to travel to and from the venue. Please note the NC State football game may impact waiting periods.
Yes! The venue provides free parking directly across the street for guests who wish to drive. You may leave your car overnight until noon on Sunday, so please make a plan to get home safely.
