Meet the wedding party!

Jonathon Wade

Best Man

Jon and Greg met freshman year at the University of Memphis in the Engineering 1010 Lab and then became closer friends during second semester in Physics 1. Favorite Memory with Greg > I think it was the first or second time coming back from St. Louis and you started playing the PST podcast (probably so you could introduce your online friends) and I got a feel for them and then we spent most of the trip playing that in the background and just talking about life and happiness and other random topics. I remember it just being a good conversation and thinking after that I was really glad I met a friend like you in college. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > I think the memory that makes me smile the most is one time when we ate at a bar in St. Louis while the Blues were playing and when we left Meredith and I both told Greg not to step in some vomit on the side walk and Greg said “what” before stepping directly in it. And then we got ice cream.

Kimm Harris

Matron of Honor

Kimm is Mere's sister and biggest inspiration. Favorite Memory with Mere > Being Meredith’s sister, I have a million wonderful memories of her. From stuffing her in the middle of trash bags to keep her still as a baby and my husband taking her to preschool every morning while I was away in college and so many more. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > I knew he belonged many years before he did. If you know the Geyer’s, you know DIY projects are our thing. The very first time I met Greg was when we were fixing up our house to put it on the market. Without hesitation, he jumped in planting bushes, renovating the garage, and loading moving trucks. Since then he has continued to put up with our shenanigans.

Charlie Ocasek

Groomsman

Charlie and Greg met on an "internet friends" trip to Telluride, CO where they spent a week in a house that was under construction in the mountains. Favorite Memory with Greg > My favorite memory of Greg is definitely when we were at the first Telluride trip being in charge of logistics and at the end we were trying to figure out how to unclog a sink and we basically took it apart and put it back together to fix it and Greg just looked at me and said "I freakin love you Charlie" Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > My favorite memory with Mere and Greg is the first time they visited me in Chicago. On the first day (I think?) in the city, we spent the vast majority of it just wandering around and talking. It was so different from when other people visit me cause we usually plan so much to do, but whenever they visit it's always easy to just walk and talk.

Regina Zipperer

Maid of Honor

Regina is Mere's childhood best friend & they swam on the Germantown swim team together for 8 years Favorite Memory with Mere > This is a hard one *Insert a few days of contemplation* I think my favorite memory was when we were in Biloxi for a swim meet and we were sharing a room. I had gotten some sea monkeys and I had left the sea monkeys because they had to sit in the sun for a few hours with the top open. We were changing and I was half dressed when I screamed "MY SEA MONKEYS!" because I realized it started to rain. I ran outside to get them with my onsie unbuttoned and got them inside. We laughed for about 10 minutes straight. That was also the trip a mouse got into my snacks - I think we had like 10 "pets" during that trip. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > My favorite memory with both of y’all is when we went paddle boarding at Shelby Farms for my birthday.

Kyle Laurell

Groomsman

Favorite Memory with Greg > When I think of my favorite memories with Greg, I keep thinking of the first time we went to Colorado with a bunch of friends. The whole trip was great and there were lots of memories but two nights in particular stand out. The first being the night we grilled burgers on the portable stove in the back of a Humvee, which was an experience I will never forget. The second would be the final night of the trip when you were yo-yoing while hanging out with Mikaila and I. Talking with you both while you casually did a bunch of tricks with the yo-yo was a very nice way to wind down at the end of a fantastic and chaotic week. Favorite Memory with Greg > I think my favorite memory with Greg and Meredith was when you both visited California for a big group trip to Socal. Before we left for L.A. the three of us worked out in my garage and I got to experience what it's like working out with you both. I don't often work out with other people but you both made it extremely fun and challenging in ways that made it feel really rewarding after. You were both so supportive and encouraging throughout the whole thing. I remember you two challenging me to get 50 reps on the bench when I didn’t think I could do it, but you both cheered me on so much that I pushed through and did over 50 reps by the end of it. It felt great and It was nice to experience you two truly in your element.

Magdalena Knapp

Bridesmaid

Magda, or "Mags", and Mere met in college and were teammates on the Mckendree Swim team and "If Greg hadn‘t popped the question anytime soon, I (Mags) would have probably asked Mere to marry me at some point". We were roomies, lifting buddies, co-team-captains, each other’s all-you-can-eat dinner date, Saturday evening wine-drinking buddies, and shoulder to lean on when life got real. Favorite Memory with Mere > I couldn‘t tell you what my favorite memory with Mere was, because there are so many, but I will forever remember the nights we sat on the dorm room floor eating freshly baked cinnamon rolls out of a waffle maker, doing avocado face masks until our faces would become rock-hard, laughing and crying while talking about everything that came to our minds late at night, and drinking out of random water fountains in Washington DC, because apparently "it would make her feel more American“. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > While I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them together, my favorite memory related to Greg was the time she made an Instagram post about how she got to meet his friends in California for the first time, and it took Mere a solid hour to find the right words for this important milestone.

Ahmad Daood

Groomsman

Favorite Memory with Greg > When we were in Telluride and Greg and I went to the gondola station grocery store and we walked like 2 miles back to the house just talking, vibing to his brothers music, appreciating the scenery, and gaming some Pokemon Go. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > I think my favorite memory of the both of them was the night we went to The Franklin Room in Chicago. Specifically when Greg asked me what button down shirt he should wear and it was between a regular nice shirt and one with bananas all over it, so I chose the normal one and Mere just whispered "thank you..."

Hannah Everhart

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Mere met freshman year at Germantown High School biology. We did worksheets together & on the first day of class, Hannah remembers Mere doing a presentation on why the animal she is most like is an otter (Hannah honestly can’t remember hers, but it was probably something awesome, like an eagle or axolotl). Favorite Memory with Mere > Hanging out in her brother’s classroom during advisory. I would file my nails while she snacked on a full container of cherry tomatoes. Favorite Memory with Greg and Mere > Driving through puddles around the school parking lot after it would rain (with turn signals, of course). I loved being a professional third wheel lol.
