The Doubletree by Hilton is 11 miles, 20 mins from the airport and 11 miles, and 20 minutes from the venue in the opposite direction. -Rapid City airport to downtown Rapid City, 11 mi, 20 mins -Downtown Rapid City to Black Hills Reception and Rentals (venue) is also 11 miles, and about 20 minutes depending on traffic -There are also an abundance unique accommodations, like cabins you can book throughout the Black Hills, these are typically easier to access with a personal or rented vehicle. -Canyon Lake Resort has small cabins available to rent about 10 minutes from the venue

How to get around the black hills

If you plan to head from the airport to the hotel, stay in downtown Rapid City, and to the wedding and back, you could likely get by with uber. If you wish to see Mount Rushmore and tour around the Black Hills we would highly recommend trying to find a car rental if you are not driving your own vehicle! **NOTE: We have found car rentals to be very expensive so plan ahead. We have found reasonable rates through Black Hills Car Rentals. There may be other affordable rates if you book ahead.
