Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, but no later than April 23.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to space constraints, only those included on the invitations may attend.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. The wedding will be formal attire. For women this means long dresses and for men, a suit and tie.

Who is invited to the welcome party?

Answer

All guests of the wedding are welcome to attend! No need to be staying at one of the room block hotels!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have 2 shuttles making loops between the Intercontinental hotel and the church, before and after the ceremony. The shuttles will pick up in front of the CVS on the Maine Avenue (street side) of the Intercontinental. The shuttles will leave at 1:40, 1:55, and 2:05.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is very limited street parking next to the church where the ceremony will be held. The parking is metered and monitored throughout the day on Saturday. Don’t forget to pay! Tickets are $30 (just ask Kathleen…). There is valet parking at the Intercontinental for the reception. It is discounted for the wedding only, and will be $28.

Do we need to rent a car?

Answer

No need to rent a car unless your plans include trips to the DC suburbs. We recommend using ubers or public transportation to get around, as parking can be expensive and scarce.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please reach out and let us know if you have any food allergies so we can make the venue aware.
