Travel Note
Effective, April 5, 2021, Kauai will become a part of the state of Hawaii’s Safe Travels Program. 1. It will require travelers to create a safe travels account and fill out the health forms associated with travel to Hawaii. Registration can be made here: https://travel.hawaii.gov/#/ 2. You must have a negative covid result upon arrival to Kauai and it must be uploaded into your safe travels account. Hawaii only accepts testing using a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) from a certified Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) lab test results from a trusted testing and travel partners. More info can be found here: https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/ ***A NAAT test is used to detect genetic material (mRNA) of coronavirus; it is a diagnostic lab test. Antigen/Antibody tests are not acceptable forms of pre-travel testing.
Flight
Flights to the island of Kauai will be through Lihue Airport (LIH)
Rental Car
There will be transportation provided to and from the venue on the day of the wedding as long as you stay within the town of Poipu. If you would like to roam around the beautiful island of Kauai, it is highly recommended to rent a car, but there are ubers/lyfts as well.
House Or Rental
Once you bypass quarantine using a negative pre-travel covid test, staying at a VRBO/AIRBNB is highly recommended if you would like to save a little extra money on your trip.
