Rebecca and I always were mistaken as twins when we were younger. We didn't always get along. But have grown to be best friends. I stood by her side when she got married. Now it's her turn to stand by me.

Maglina is my longest friendship. We met in kindergarten. Where we got milk and cookies and nap time. We have been friends for over 35 years. Although we live miles apart, our friendship never fades

I have known Nancy for years. But then I find out she also is friends with Rachelle. We all hung out together and we became close friends. I am lucky to be able to celebrate the same birthday with her. Only 10 years apart.

Rachelle and I met through a mutual friend. We struck up conversation cause we both lived in Colorado Springs. As it would be I was moving back to St. Cloud and she was looking for an apartment. So we moved in together and have been dear friends ever since.

Morgan is Shawn's only daughter. She is excited to have 2 more girls to add to the mix. She is a very talented and smart young lady. She soon will be driving so just giving you a heads up.

Alexis is Melissa's daughter. She is beyond excited to be a bridesmaid. And more so to have more family members to call hers. She is one spunky little spit fire we love very much.

Kianna is my niece who just graduated. She has grown to be an amazing gymnast and a beautiful young lady. When my sister was pregnant, I wasn't expecting to have kids. So my girl name was Kianna. I told my sister she could use it. I like to think I named her.
Best Man
Josh and I have been friends for over 25 years. We went to school together. One of many things we enjoy together is softball. We have played over 2,000 games together. That's a lot of double headers, numerous nights and weekends.

Jeff is my cousin. We have gone on vacations together, from the Mediterranean cruise to NASCAR. We enjoyed Florida so much we bought a place or 2.

Chad is another cousin. We have grown up together our whole lives. If only the walls could talk on the farm, at our grandparents house or anywhere we were together. We could be here all day telling stories. Of course we were angels.

When we were kids we did a lot of camping together as families. We are continuing our tradition now with our own families. We camp together in Westrich. We have many stories to tell our children....we too were angels.

Jamie and Robbie are brothers. So he too has spent many weekends camping together. We play softball together and are very competitive bag throwers. We enjoy having a beer from time to time together.

Jordan is Shawn's oldest son. He is graduating this year. He has a love for football and baseball. He has grown into a fine young gentleman. We look forward what the future holds for him.

Devin is Shawn's youngest son. He is a spitting image of his dad. He loves all sports and is go go go. Melissa is happy to finally get the boys in her life.

Shawn is the son of Helen and Gerald (Brownie) Orbeck. He grew up in Rockville and graduated from Rocori in 1996. During high school he worked for Grainte Tops. In 1999 he opened his own business Granite Creations. Shawn has 3 children from a previous marriage. Jordan (18) graduating from Melrose High School. Morgan (15) will be a sophmore and Devin (12) and an 8th grader this next year.
Bride
Melissa is the daughter of Connie and the late Charles Blood. She grew up in Crosby and graduated in 1994. She went to college at SCSU for accounting. She has been in the restaurant industry since 1998. Currently employed at Granite City Food & Brewery. She has a daughter Alexis (12) who will be in the 7th grade next year.
Mother of the Bride
Connie is Melissa's mother. She lived in Crosby where she was the Deputy Register for the DMV. She has 3 children including Rebecca (40) and Michael (37) In 2000 she moved to Lindstrom. She is semi-retired and works at Menards. Connie also played many years of softball. She enjoys traveling and spending time in the garden.
Mother of the Groom
Helen is Shawn's mother. She is an employee with Nahan. She keeps telling us she is going to retire soon. But all who know her, knows it's not real soon. As Jerry is hoping the same thing. She spends her free time bowling, gardening, camping and has recently thrown in the glove from softball. Melissa's 1st time meeting her was one to remember...just ask them!
Father of the Groom
Jerry AKA Brownie has been retired from Walter Kluwers for about 5 years now. He still finds time to do electrical work for Karen's Electric. His honey to do list stays full all the time. He makes Helen coffee and her lunch every morning. And they manage to get a few games of cribbage in. Brownie is a retired Veteran with 26 years in the military. He also has semi-retired his glove this year.
Honor Attendant
April is enlisted in the Navy. She has been over seas many times. She currently is living in MN but will soon be leaving us for a different location. We have been friends for many years. She has a smile that lights up a room when she walks in. She is the life of my party!
Flower Girl
Ayla is the daughter of Rachelle and Andy Wilson. Since she was a baby Melissa was the only one other than her parents who could hold her. She is a precious and sweet little girl. She is excited to have Uncle Shawn in her life. For he is now her favorite and Melissa is her runner up.
Ring Bearer
Maddox is the son of Nate and Kate Orbeck. Nephew to Shawn. He is always full of energy and very witty. He tries to follow in his dads footsteps. Making people laugh and doing goofy stuff.
