Just kidding! Although Melissa did indeed hire Ryan at Darktrace in 2019, that first year was purely platonic - or so Melissa thought. As it turns out, Ryan was actually telling all of his friends that some day she would become his wife. In mid-2020 Ryan was promoted and became Melissa's peer. As the only two Sales Directors in the region, we grew into close friends and confidants. We bonded over a shared fanaticism for sports, a love of early 2000s pop-punk music, and the kinds of inflated self-confidence only 25 years olds climbing the corporate ladder can claim. By the end of 2020, we started dating and immediately realized that this relationship was different. Our parents thought we were crazy when we bought our house in Austin together only 7 months into dating - but we just knew we were meant to be together. Since that time, we've gone through multiple job changes, two puppies, crazy travel and work schedules, and a few big Packers playoff losses. But we've only grown closer and more assured of our path together in life. We cannot wait to pledge our love at the altar and celebrate with all of our closest friends and family.
