Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park
Perfect for an afternoon walk with some of the best views of the Hudson Valley. There are parking lots located at both entrances.
The Culinary Institute of America
Walk around and enjoy the gardens of this beautiful campus and enjoy lunch at the Apple Pie Bakery Café - so delicious!
Cold Spring
Cold Spring has a delightful downtown area full of shops, antique stores, and boutique restaurants. Park along Main Street, stroll around the shops, grab an ice cream (from Moo Moo's), and head through the underground tunnel to see the views of the river.
Beacon
Walk around downtown Beacon with a specialty donut from Glazed Over Donuts and enjoy all of the different shops. For great scenery, Long Dock park is located right off the town centre and it’s a gorgeous place to walk around and enjoy the views & sunshine.
Anthony's Nose Trailhead
Calling all hikers! This route is steep for about the first 0.6 miles and there are a lot of rock scrambles but you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Hudson River and surrounding hills. The trailhead is on the Westchester side of the Bear Mountain Bridge and there is only roadside parking (you'll see all of the cars parked along the main road & know you're in the right spot!).
Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site
Take a tour of this historic mansion, walk around the beautiful gardens & enjoy the views of the Hudson River. This is a flat road & easy walking area.
Locust Grove Estate
Overlooking the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie New York, the 200-acre Locust Grove Estate is a museum and nature preserve centered on a 45-room Italianate villa built in 1851. Easy, beautiful walking trails and gardens!
Main Street - Wappingers Falls
Wappingers is where Mitch and Melissa grew up & it has so many hidden gems on main street like DiVine Wine Bar (have a light bite and wine overlooking the falls on the outdoor patio), County Fare (delicious lunch or dinner options), Village Creamery (great ice-cream spot), or a bit further up there's Mexicali Blue (the bride & grooms favorite spot to grab tacos and a margarita).
