I met Max in October 2014 in the UVA mailrooms. We worked a shift together and he offered to tutor me in Calc 1, if I decided to take it in the Spring semester. Thankfully I bypassed taking Calc, but ended up going on a date with him in the June 2015...and the rest is history.

Melissa and I started dating at the end of our first year at UVA. At the time, I was big into my motorcycle and thought it would be a crazy idea to ask Melissa if she wanted to ride along. Totally expecting her to reject my proposal, I was completely surprised when she agreed. Now five years later, I can't imagine anybody else that I would want with me. 🏍🏍

I met Stefanie 15+ years ago through our love of dance! I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side. My favorite memories with Stef involve our many trips to Olive Garden over the years. I will never forget our Galentine's day trip in high school. ❤️

I met Jacob on my very first day at UVA. We share a lot of the same interests and were officers at the Photography Club at UVA. I'm always amazed by his quick wit, humor, and big personality. I couldn't imagine a better co-Best Man!

I met Emma 10+ years ago through our love of dance! Growing up Stef and I always looked out for her and treated her like our little sister. My favorite memories with Emma and Stef was going to Subway every night between dance classes for dinner. We would laugh, do a little bit of homework, and see how many free cookies we could get the employees to give us. I think our grand total was somewhere around 9 cookies. 🍪 😃
Steven Stetzler

One of the smartest people I know, Steven has been an amazing friend throughout my time at UVA. Together with Jacob, we tackled some of college's most challenging problems and grew close during our 4 years. One of my most memorable times is our last-minute decision to leave at midnight and drive to Sweetwater, TN to see the solar eclipse in totality. While we're now at two different ends of the country, Steven is likely making everybody around him laugh with his awesome sense of humor!

Lara is my future sister-in-law and Max's oldest sister. I'm so thankful to have her a part of the wedding party, as she is such a positive presence to have around! I'm amazed and awed by Lara's grace and enthusiasm for life and travel. ✈️

Stephen is my future brother-in-law! While he is attending my college's rival (VT), we have always gotten along and I'm thrilled to be joining such a wonderful family!

Ava is my future sister-in-law and Max's other older sister. Ava is a joy to have around and can keep a room laughing and enjoying themselves! I have been impressed with the way that Ava loves and cares for her family, especially her younger brother. I am extremely grateful to join the Santa Ana clan! 💜

I have known Ben since middle school. We were first-year roommates at UVA. Ben is an awesome runner and has competed in the Boston Marathon. We have continued our strong friendship after graduation through frequent hikes and discussions. I'm thankful that Ben is apart of our special day!

Abby is my future sister-in-law and married to Max's oldest brother. From the first time I met Abby, she readily accepted me into their large family and made me feel like I belonged. I'm beyond thankful for her wisdom and kindness over the years! 💕
