Rainey Street Historic District
Popular nightlife district, where historic homes have been renovated into bars and restaurants, many of which feature large porches and outdoor yards. Stop by Unbarlievable and go down the slide, enjoy some live music at Icenhauer's, or hang out at Banger's for German food & Beer Garden.
Barton Springs Municipal Pool
Chill on the grass hills and take a dip in the spring pool. Water is pretty cold most of the time, it's a nice cool down under the hot Texas sun. Make sure to reserve ahead of time and arrive earlier to get good parking.
South Congress (SoCo) Shopping and Restaurants
Shopping and cultural district known for its many eclectic small retailers, restaurants, music and art venues. Good place to buy some Cowboy boots, get a little Austin Weird clothing, and some good food. We LOVE HopDoddy Burgers.
Jo's Coffee- I love you so much sign
Good coffee and a classic Austin picture. It's also right by South Congress shopping and restaurant district. Nice place to enjoy the day.
Formula 1 Race
The Formula 1 race is happening on Sunday October 24th. Make sure to book tickets ahead of time. We would not recommend booking the 3 day ticket since the Saturday qualifying race will overlap with the wedding time.
Torchys Tacos
Tacos... enough said. We like the Trailer park , Baja Shrimp, and Brushfire (spicy).
Zilker Park
Great place to get some sun and hang out.
Mount Bonnell Hiking
Great place for a hike and awesome wide open view from the top!
