Do I need a Covid Vaccine to attend?

Answer

While we would prefer to require a Covid Vaccine to attend, there is no feasible way to do so. We can only urge our guests to please get vaccinated before extensive travel and attending large social gatherings, such as our reception.

What special restrictions will be in place for the wedding due to Covid?

Answer

The Landscape Arboretum is currently placing restrictions on weddings in regards to social distancing, guest number limits and mask requirements for both the ceremony and reception. These restrictions have already been relaxed twice since we made our initial reservation and we strongly believe that they will be lifted entirely by the date of the wedding (9/18/2021). With the increasing availability of vaccines we have not altered our plans to conform with their current restrictions at this time (3/27/21). We will inform everyone by email if plans change.

What's the best way to make it from the MSP airport to our hotel?

Answer

You can either rent a car from the airport or use a rideshare service. Either way we recommend coordinating with friends/family to share the trip and reduce the cost.

How do I enter the Landscape Arboretum?

Answer

All wedding guests receive FREE admission to the Arboretum for the entire day. When guests arrive, they should inform the gatehouse attendant that they are with the Marion/Wyman party and they will be waved through. We recommend arriving early to explore the expansive gardens. You could even walk the gardens in the morning with time to spare to return to your hotel and change before the ceremony at 4pm!

Where do I park and can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

"Parking is permitted in designated areas only. Violators will be towed. RECEPTION: Guests are welcome to leave vehicles overnight if client is arranging a shuttle service, the guest is carpooling, or taking a taxi home. Guests are welcome to get their vehicle the following day at 8 AM when the Arboretum grounds reopen."

What is the backup plan if Covid causes issues?

Answer

The Landscape Arboretum added a clause to all wedding contracts to enable them to reschedule weddings if they are affected by city/state mandates related to pandemics. If the worst should happen and we need to reschedule we will contact everyone via the email address you provided with your RSVP. We think this scenario is unlikely, but would recommend buying flight/travel insurance if you are concerned.

What if I'm really concerned with potential delays due to Covid and I cant reschedule my flight/ hotel reservation/ PTO/ dog sitter?

Answer

if you can't travel or reschedule your trip don't worry. We'll be in the Minneapolis area to arrange something. We appreciate that you're making the effort to show up and we'll make alternate plans. It may just be a BBQ in the Wyman's back yard, but we'll make the trip worth your while. If there are a few people that would like to attend, but cannot make it, just let us know. We have considered Live Streaming the ceremony online for friends and family to view.
