Question

When should I book my hotel room?

Answer

The deadline to make hotel reservations is September 5, 2025. However, we respectfully request that you make your reservations as early as possible to ensure room availability.

Question

How do I book my hotel room?

Answer

Navigate to the "Travel" tab on our website and click the "View" button below the information about the resort we will be staying at (You may also use corporate code 99910720010 on the Wyndham website). Once you click on the link, select the date of stay by clicking "price calendar" (Please note our wedding room block is from 12/01/25 to 12/10/25 with a minimum stay of 3 nights). Next, click on "edit details" and select the number of people (adults) and if you have children and/or teenagers, please select the age so that the rate is accurately reflected (Please note that we will not be having children at the wedding. However, the resort is family friendly). After you select the number of people, click "Search Rooms" and you will see several room categories (please only choose from the options that say "Melissa & Joseph Wedding"). Lastly, click "book", fill out the required guest information form, and select the option to pay by card. Please note that you must select the full payment option. However, the charges are processed manually and you will only be charged for 1 night as a deposit (ex. $270 for a 2 person room with a lagoon view). The remaining balance is due when you arrive at the hotel. After you are done booking, you will receive a confirmation email and the page will show you your confirmation code. Please note that due to the charges being processed manually, it may take some time to show up on your card statement. We ask that you please do not book using any other methods (i.e. 3rd party sites) as this will create confusion because we will not know that you booked a room as well as additional charges for us.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please note that formal RSVP cards will be sent out with your invitations. The deadline to RSVP is September 5, 2025. However, we ask that you soft RSVP on our website as soon as possible to assist in our planning efforts. If we do not receive your RSVP by September 5th, we will assume you are unable to attend.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed if you cannot make it to the wedding. Please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly. Please note that if you RSVP "no" before we send out the formal invitations, we will not be sending you a formal invitation. However, please let us know if you change your mind!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Our resort welcomes families and children throughout the property. However, due to limited space, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception adults only (18+) with the exception of those children in the wedding party. The resort does offer babysitting services. The cost is $30 usd per hour per child; if there are 3 children or more, the rate drops to $25 usd per hour per child, but for 3 children, 2 babysitters are needed; If the service is after 8 p.m., it is done in the guest's room, and if the babysitter leaves the hotel after 11 p.m., an extra $30 usd is added for the taxi. If you would like to use the babysitting services that the resort offers, you must contact me or Indy at least 1 month in advance so we can arrange it for you.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one it will be addressed on your invitation.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are requesting our guests wear cocktail attire or resort style (a balance between formal and casual). Wear whatever color you would like, but please no Hawaiian shirts.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking all phones and other devices be put away and on silent/turned off during our ceremony so that all guests can be 100% present with us during this time. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you want and we promise to share our ceremony photos as soon as possible.
