Bear Lake Reserve

Bear Lake Reserve is the preferred lodging option for our wedding. The minimum night stay is 2 nights, and you will receive a 10% wedding discount. To request current availability and book a home, please email Bear Lake Reserve at vacations@bearlakereserve.com. Please use the subject line “Lodging for the Harvey-Faul Wedding.” They will need to know your check in and check out dates, number of adults and children, and if you prefer pet friendly options.

Comfort Inn Sylva - Cullowhee

For guests traveling from out of town, the Comfort Inn Sylva – Cullowhee is a convenient lodging option located about 20 minutes from our wedding venue. If you plan to stay there, we recommend booking early to ensure availability.

For additional lodging options, we encourage guests to explore nearby Airbnb rentals close to our wedding venue. Nearby towns include Cullowhee (15 minutes away), Sylva (20 minutes), and Dillsboro (25 minutes). Booking early is recommended, as accommodations in the area can fill up quickly.

Nearby Airports

The most convenient airport for our wedding is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) in North Carolina, located about 65 miles from Tuckasegee. Other nearby options include Knoxville, TN, as well as the larger international airports in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC.

Travel Note

Transportation Planning

Our venue is in a secluded area where taxis and Ubers are not readily available, so if you are staying in a nearby town, you will likely need to drive to weekend events. Guests staying at Bear Lake Reserve will have shuttle service to and from the venue on our wedding day--just include your Bear Lake Reserve address when you RSVP to reserve a seat. We want everyone to have a great time and get back safely, so please plan ahead and don't drink and drive. Cell service is limited and GPS can be spotty, so arranging transportation in advance is strongly encouraged.
