FAQs

The Wedding Website of Melissa Lowell and Evan Magill
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 31st. Click the RSVP tab in the menu above.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Garden formal for attire. Think breathable fabrics for an outdoor wedding. Summertime up north can have varying temperatures. Midi/maxi dresses or jumpsuits or lighter suits with blazers. Opt for comfortable shoes. There will be gravel and uneven surfaces.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

More exact times coming soon! Ceremony will take place behind the Magill cabin and if it rains in the tent on the front lawn.

Question

Where should we park at the Magill cabin?

Answer

Limited parking is available; please carpool if possible. We will have designated parking areas around the cabin. Please park only in marked parking areas.

Question

Is transportation being provided?

Answer

Kindly arrange your own transportation to the event. Again, parking is limited so do your best to carpool.

Question

If we are staying at one of the lodges, what should we bring?

Answer

Please note: once you’re on the Gunflint Trail, services are limited. We suggest stocking up on groceries, beverages, and essentials in advance. Grand Marais is a great place to do so. Lodges have basic cabin amenities, but check their website for more detailed descriptions.

Question

What should we know about the BWCA?

Answer

To honor this beautiful setting, we ask guests to be mindful of nature and follow all local wilderness guidelines. Check for fire restrictions and if you are going into the Boundary Waters you need to have a day-use permit. Thank you for being mindful of the environment and nearby residents during our celebration.

Question

Does my cellphone work that far north?

Answer

Phones will work in Grand Marais, but once you leave town and head up the Gunflint trail you will lose service. Plan accordingly. Lodges and the Magill cabin have wifi. ***Make sure to put your phone into airplane mode to not be charged for Canadian data and to keep your phone on central time.
