The Wedding Website of Melissa Kim and Daniel Paglio
A shortlist of our favorite places!

Nob Hill recommendations

CA

Del Popolo makes awesome neapolitan pizzas and is 2 blocks from the hotel. Key Klub across the street is a great bar with natural wine, beers on tap, and great cocktails. Around the hotel we also recommend for dinner: Back 2 Back, Nob Hill Cafe, AltoVino in Russian Hill R &G Lounge, China Live, Mister Jius in Chinatown Flour & Water Pizzeria, Sotto Mare, Tosca Cafe, Tony's Pizza Nepoletana, and Original Joes in North Beach for Coffee or Brunch: The Coffee Movement, Saint Frank Coffee MyMy Cafe, The New Spot, Reveille Cafe in Nob Hill Mama's on Washington Square in North Beach City View in Chinatown for Dim sum (or lots of takeout dim sum places, Good Mongkok, AA Bakery, Dim Sum Bistro are great)

Ferry Building

Ferry Building

San Francisco, CA 94105

The Ferry building, a still functioning ferry terminal, also houses some of the best restaurants and food shops in the City. It's one of Melissa's favorite places to go for fresh produce and delicious artisan goods (Blue Bottle Coffee, Dandelion Chocolate, Delica, Mariposa Bakery- an entirely gluten free bakery, and Boulette's Larder) The Saturday morning Farmers Market is unparalelled and has some of the best breakfast and lunch options that San Francisco has to offer. You can't go wrong! Walkable to Fisherman's Wharf as well.

Vesuvio Cafe

Vesuvio Cafe

255 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133

Super classic dive bar in the heart of North Beach, it's a favorite of Daniel & Melissa's and a mainstay for the Kim family. Next to the famous City Lights bookstore and walkable to many sights in North Beach and Chinatown.

The Progress

The Progress

1525 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94115

One of our favorite places for a nicer meal with a beautiful space and excellent bar. So excellent in fact, their martini is Daniel's favorite. We also love their sister restaurants next door and around the corner, State Bird Provisions and Anchovy Bar.

The Page

The Page

298 Divisadero Street, San Francisco, CA 94117

Melissa's favorite dive bar in the City with pool tables and great beers on tap, harkening back to her days living in NOPA. Grab dinner nearby (Che Fico, NOPA, Nopalito, Souvla, Beretta, Stoa).

Waymo

If you haven't taken a self driving car ride yet, it's a pretty fun and quintessential San Francisco thing to do. They only drive within the City bounds so you can't take it to our wedding venue, but it's great for taking short ride share trips around the City.

Cable Car ride

Cable Car ride

CA

Riding a cable car is a quintessential San Francisco activity and a great way to transport yourself from one end of the City to the other. Our favorite route is along Hyde St- pick it up from Hyde and Washington Sts, 2 blocks from Stanford Court, to ride it down to Fisherman's Wharf or on California and Powell Sts, right outside of Stanford Court, to ride it to the Ferry Building/ Embarcadero!

Crissy Field

Crissy Field

San Francisco, CA 94129

Chrissy Field and Marina Green have some of the best views of the City and is an all flat walking path that stretches from the base of the Golden Gate bridge to Fisherman's Wharf (and can even extend to the Ferry Building and the Giants Stadium for a much longer walk). We recommend parking along/ Ubering to Marina Green (there are several public parking lots along the way). We love Radhaus (beer hall & german food), Greens (vegetarian), and Interval at Long now (cocktails), all nearby. The commercial areas along Chestnut St nearby have great bars and restaurants as well.

Golden Gate Park

Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

Golden Gate Park is our favorite park in the City, stretching 3.5 miles from the center of the City to the beach. It houses the DeYoung Museum, Academy of Sciences, a great children's playground, and many more. Stop at Gus' Market on Haight St or BiRite Market on Divisadero to pickup lunch for a picnic in the park.

Lands End Trail

Lands End Trail

Lands End Trail, San Francisco, CA 94121

One of our favorite local hikes with incredible views and flat terrain for all ages. It's close to Ocean Beach- the new Sunset Dunes park along Ocean Beach is a great way to extend your walk along the beach. Grab a poke burrito from one of our favorite places, Hook Fish Co, or coffee and pastries from Andytown Roasters in the area.

Tennessee Valley Trailhead

Tennessee Valley Trailhead

591 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941

For folks who want to explore outside the city, its an easy hike for folks of all ages and mobility with great ocean views at the end and an opportunity to see Marin. Eat lunch at the Joinery or Hook Fish Proof Lab nearby which have nice outdoor tables to sit in the sun.

For all the days along the way
