If you haven't been here before, a few things to know. First off, its gorgeous. Old growth redwood trees everywhere. There is a meandering creek that follows the pathway all the way to the end of the trail. There you will find the biggest tree at the reserve that we won't even try to explain how humbling it is to stand next to. Follow the bridge across and the trail will loop back to the first clearing. Most of the hike is very easy with limited tripping hazards. But to get to it there is a fairly steep path almost right when you start the walk. Its a short hill and once you're past it, the walk is pleasant and refreshing.
This is one of our favorite Disc Golf Courses! This course has been featured in pro tournaments and is loved by the locals! Second growth redwood trees, another beautiful creek! What's not to love?
If you're up for the drive, this is the place to go. Along with a bunch of other great things to do in the City of Fort Bragg, the Gardens is a perfect place to explore. You will pass through countless gardens on the way to the ocean bluffs. Lots of art and history for the area will be found along the path to the sea. We urge you to stop at the dahlia garden as it will be in full bloom in August. You will see quickly why we plan to elope here!
