We're getting married!

We actually went to high school together but somehow never crossed paths. According to Andress, he was busy in the “smart kids” classes… and I wasn’t (we can all agree that’s debatable 😌). We both graduated without really knowing each other, and life went on, until one day we found each other on social media. What started as occasional messages here and there turned into years of staying loosely in touch. Right after the pandemic, we finally decided to meet in person for the first time. From that moment, we instantly clicked. Even though the connection was obvious, we weren’t quite ready to jump into a serious relationship, so we remained friends for a couple of years. During that time, we went on several dates and continued getting to know each other. Then one Valentine’s Day, I received the prettiest flowers (not the first time he had surprised me, but definitely the most meaningful). Something about that moment felt different, like it was finally time to give us a real chance. So we went on another date… and we simply never stopped. Before long, we realized we had more in common than we ever imagined, even down to our last names (Andress Riveros Franco and Melissa Franco). Moral of the story: sometimes the right person was there all along, just running in different hallways. We truly believe our story happened exactly when it was meant to, and now we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. —————————— En realidad fuimos a la misma escuela secundaria… pero nunca nos conocimos. Según Andress, él estaba en las clases de los “niños inteligentes” y yo no (pero todos sabemos que eso está en duda 😌). Nos graduamos sin cruzarnos y cada quien siguió su camino, hasta que un día nos encontramos en redes sociales. Empezamos a escribirnos de vez en cuando por un par de años, nada muy serio al principio. Justo después de la pandemia, por fin decidimos vernos en persona por primera vez… y hicimos click al instante. Aunque la conexión se sentía, en ese momento ninguno de los dos estaba listo para una relación seria, así que nos quedamos como amigos por un tiempo. Durante esos años salimos en varias citas y seguimos conociéndonos. Hasta que un Día de San Valentín recibí las flores más hermosas (no era la primera vez que me sorprendía, pero esta vez se sintió diferente). Fue como ese momento en el que dices… ok, vamos a darle una oportunidad de verdad. Salimos a otra cita… y desde entonces no hemos parado. Con el tiempo nos dimos cuenta de que teníamos mucho más en común de lo que imaginábamos, hasta nuestros apellidos (Andress Riveros Franco y Melissa Franco). Moraleja: a veces la persona correcta estuvo ahí todo el tiempo… solo que en pasillos diferentes. Y ahora no vemos la hora de celebrar este próximo capítulo con todos ustedes 💍✨
