We already postponed once because of COVID - and we're not letting it stop us now! Currently Mesa County (which includes Grand Junction and Palisade) is at Level Blue - meaning "Caution". The most current information can be found at https://health.mesacounty.us/covid19/ There are currently no quarantine requirements for entering Mesa County. Obviously we request that you use common sense and consideration. If you are feeling sick or have reason to believe you have been exposed to COVID we will miss you terribly, but we ask that you stay home and be well.
Spring weather is generally warm and sunny, with mild temperatures. Evenings are cool. The ceremony will be held outside, and weather can change quickly, so bring a light jacket or cover-up just in case. See important info on "Altitude" below.
Nothing overly formal - cocktail attire preferred. The grounds at the winery include grass and packed sand (for ceremony and dinner) so very high or spiked heels may be problematic. Dancing will take place inside a building with cement floors so if your feet can take it - spike away!
Grand Junction and Palisade sit at roughly 4,600 feet above sea level. This means the air is "thinner" and the sun stronger. Relative humidity can sometimes be in the single digits. We advise you to stay well-hydrated. Drink water continuously throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. Wear sunscreen and a hat that shades your face and eyes while outdoors for a period of time. Altitude sickness is generally not a problem at this altitude, but take it easy and realize you may experience some shortness of breath if you over-do.
Yes they are! Mesa County has a Five Star program that is awarded to businesses that follow CDC and local protocols for health and safety. At this time of year, most patios and outdoor seating will be in full swing, as well as indoor dining as dictated by local guidelines.
We'd probably love your pets, but please don't bring them to the wedding. We're not even letting our adorable cat Pisces attend.
Well, marijuana is legal in Colorado, but not allowed on the grounds of the wedding venue. It's also illegal to take marijuana across the state line. Otherwise, smoking is allowed in a designated smoking area.
