Delilah
Junior Bridesmaid
Delilah is Melissa’s daughter and Junior Bridesmaid. She is thrilled to have this special role in the ceremony and even more thrilled to have Dana joining the family. She is also super excited to be gaining a new cousin, Dana's niece, Kyley. Delilah has an especially big heart and loves animals, the environment, music and art. The accomplishment she is most proud of is having raised $1400 for people with disabilities, at the age of seven! She worked hard baking and selling cookies for months and donated every penny she made on her eighth birthday. Now nine, this child is a strong, wacky, loving ball of energy and will be a force of good as she grows into an adult. Plus, she now has a drum set of her own and the best teacher living under the same roof! No stopping her!
Kyley
Flower Girl
Kyley is Dana’s niece. She is very excited to be part of her uncle’s wedding and to welcome Melissa, Jackson and Delilah into the family. Kyley is a kind, courteous, and conscientious child and has been since she could talk. She loves everybody and she is incredibly friendly, making friends everywhere she goes. She has a keen mind and is intensely curious. A natural learner, she loves school and everyone in it. She has her own fashion sense, matching flowered shirts with striped pants, fancy flowing dresses with funky leggings and mismatched socks. Some of Kyley’s favorite things are painting, school and playing with her cats.
Danny
Father of the Bride
Danny has always worked hard; he served in the U.S. Army, welded in tight spaces on submarines and is a retired Corrections Officer. One of 10 children, he has always been handy and has been able to tackle any repair (though it may include a few choice words à la the dad from A Christmas Story!). In his recent years he has taken on a few fun projects including crafting wooden swords for his grandsons and a custom display pavilion to house his Game of Thrones action figures. He also has a long-standing respect for all things martial arts. He took Melissa to see live WWF wrestling as a child, and has continued this tradition with his grandchildren! He has passed on his love of nature and strong belief in equality to Melissa. He is proud to walk her to the aisle on this special day!
Jackson
Son of the Bride
Melissa has the honor of having her son, Jackson, escort her down the aisle. Jackson is an especially bright young man who loves his pets and all things tech. This kid was attracted to everything with a button from day one and by the age of four, had invented his own theoretical type of matter, “Holdus Matter” (we later discovered he was describing Dark Matter…mind blown!). Jax is nearly a teenager now and technology, wit and sarcasm are his specialties, but when it comes to his dog and cat, he goes all mushy! Though his favorite activity is hanging out in comfy loungewear in front of the computer he built especially for gaming, he will be decked out in his fanciest duds to make an entrance with his mom on this special occasion.
