We got married!

We have chosen to have an intimate destination wedding, with just immediate family present, but would love to include our extended family and friends using Livestream technology. It would be our honor to share this day with everyone we care about and who cares about us. Our ceremony and reception, including our first dance, toasts and speeches, will be held at Mohonk Mountain House, a unique, Victorian castle resort in the Hudson Valley. Mohonk Mountain House has a very special history. It's founding mission in 1869 was to provide opportunities for recreation and renewal of body, mind, and spirit in a beautiful natural setting. It's owners, twin Quaker brothers, the Smileys, started the International Arbitration Meetings there, which grew and changed into The League of Nations, which grew again and became The United Nations as we know it today. More than a resort, it embodies a love of nature, a preservation of history, and respect for the world around us. We could not be more thrilled to start our marriage in a place that holds so much history, healing, progressive spirit and respect for people and nature.

This man. This wonderful man. I cannot say enough about his amazing qualities. I trust him with my heart, my home, my children, my life, and yes, I even trust him with making the bed to my picky standard! Whether we are trying a new recipe in the kitchen, bringing Delilah to horseback riding lessons, having a conversation with Jax about technology, taking the crazy pup on a hike or just lazing about with the cat, we do everything together. He is my partner for all the things. He is respectful, empathetic, thoughtful, and gives his time and energy with pure love. He puts his all into everything he does. Knowing he is here for me brings immense comfort into my life. Dana and I have a special energetic connection. Magic is the best way I can describe it. He is a person with a heart that is rare and I am honored to know him. And as if his amazing heart were not enough, he is talented as well. He fixes things and makes them new again. Like brand new. And his drum and guitar skills are beyond swoon-worthy! Plus, you know, he’s absolutely gorgeous! I am beyond lucky to have found Dana in this lifetime. He is my best friend, soulmate and partner in life. I am so grateful to his family, who raised him, and I cannot wait for my family and friends to get to know him. Thank you Dana, for being the incredible human that you are!

It's hard to describe Melissa, because she is truly indescribable. I'm able to find many words, but they all fall short. A single mother to her two amazing kids, working through demanding and exhausting challenges, she managed to go to college and get her bachelors degree. She's devoted to all the people close to her. One of her greatest qualities, and also a very rare one, is her overwhelming compassion. Her kind, thoughtful, helpful, selfless, giving nature inspires me to be a better person. She will always be a reminder that beauty comes from how we comfort and help others. She's my soulmate, my one true love. I cherish every morning, night and moment we have together. There is no one I'd rather spend the rest of my life with. I can't wait to capture and share our joy, devotion and grand rarity of our love on our wedding day.
