We'll post more FAQs when we send out invitations, but here's some initial info about our expectations regarding the dress code. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Melinda - melindamarie93@gmail.com Nick - kuntzman.nicholas@gmail.com
Question

Where can I buy masks?

Answer

We recommend checking out Chicago Costume Company - a local business with multiple storefronts in Chicago and a great collection of masquerade masks at a range of prices [https://chicagocostume.com/]. We will also be providing generic masks if you don't want to purchase one.

Question

Do you expect guests to wear masks?

Answer

Masks will be primarily for photos and Halloween fun - there is no strict expectation for guests to arrive in masks or wear them throughout the event. If you do want to participate in the theme, we invite you to either make a mask or purchase one to go with your awesome look! If masks are really not your thing, then see below for more ideas.

Question

What do you expect guests to wear?

Answer

The dress code is fall elegance (cocktail) - either masks, themed outfits, creative styling or costume-ish looks are strongly encouraged but not required. We anticipate a large spectrum of Halloween-adjacent outfits. If you enjoy costumes and dressing up, then please feel free to let your creativity run wild - you won't be alone! But we know not everyone has the time, means, and passion for this, in which case we still encourage you to find your own way to engage with the Halloween theme (match a mask to your bow-tie? adorn a haunted accessory? some spooky-yet-elegant makeup? dig up that vintage dress or those crazy shoes buried at the back of the closet?). More than anything, we want our guests to have fun with this theme without feeling restricted or overwhelmed. After all, how often do you get to go to a masquerade wedding?
