Like most pandemic love stories Melina and Fernando met on the exclusive dating app, Tinder. Fernando was residing in White Plains and Melina was living in Astoria. The pandemic was in full swing and only the real savages dared to meet in person. On August 1st, 2020 Melina and Fernando planned to meet for their first date. Being that restaurants and bars were closed for the unforeseeable future, they decided to meet at Rockefeller State Park for a hike. The date was a success. 3 weeks later Melina and Fernando embarked on a 4 night camping trip in Acadia National Park, Maine. After two 8 hour drives and four nights of camping under the stars, they made their relationship official! Fast forward two years later, they returned to where it all began at that magnificent campsite on the water in Maine. Fernando proposed on the dock with the most perfect sunset as a backdrop, and Melina said yes!
