Jacob and Meldi first started talking online while away from college for the summer. They went on their first date when they returned to Platteville to start the Fall 2018 semester. They went to get ice cream at 3 Marias, and Meldi made sure Jacob did not know the store was cash only, so she could be the one to pay. They were officially a couple about a month later.
