Our first vacation: San Diego! We went with our good friends Sydney and Gunner McKinney. Conveniently, their dog (Stella) is the reason we’re married.

The day before we got engaged. Zach originally wanted to propose on this day in Presque Isle, Erie; however, as he accurately told me before it happened… I fell from trying to walk on a wet log. Oops!

The day we got engaged! We got engaged at the Marblehead Lighthouse in Marblehead, Ohio. This is a very sentimental place to Zach, as it’s where his parents also got engaged & had wedding photos done.

Big Bear, California! Where we went after getting engaged. We loved the tiny towns restaurants and coffee shops.

“Would you like pepper on your salad?” “No thanks,” “Okay,” (the waiter still put pepper on Melanie’s salad… also, there was a huge cucumber in it)

The night we formally got married in Las Vegas. We originally went to the Marriage License Bureau and thought signing papers was it… but turns out we had to take a trip to a chapel!

During our families visit, Melanie’s mom went with us to the Bellagio hotel to look at their seasonal indoor garden!

One of our new favorite places to be: the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve. It’s a secluded area of the town with small ponds, greenery, and you guessed it… lots of birds! We’ve grown to love “birding”

Our latest date night before sending out invitations. We went to Color Me Mine, a paint your chosen pottery place. We both made mugs!
