Upon check in, all attendees will be temperature screened prior to entry. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will occur outside. We intend our reception to be indoors, but that may change depending on Michigan mandates or guidelines. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the facility. Doors will be propped open as much as possible to avoid common touch points. We will have color-coded leis so guests can visually see how distant others want to be. Such as red for please keep your distance and yellow for okay with talking but don’t touch. Specifics will be provided with the leis at check-in!
We encourage everyone to wear masks as you feel appropriate. Michigan guidelines will apply so masks may be mandatory at that time.
The caterer will be serving buffet style where they serve up the items on individuals plates. All drinks will be provided from bartending stations. 6 foot spacing will be recommended for individuals approaching the buffet table. Bar etiquette will be similar where guests will be expected not to crowd the bar and leave spacing between other guests.
As of July 19th, Michigan is in Phase 4 of their COVID Safe Start plan for the Ludington area. Under this phase, gatherings are limited to gatherings of 10 people indoors or 100 people outdoors. Under the next phase, phase 5, it is understood that the facility would be restricted to gatherings of 100 people indoors or 250 outdoors. Therefore, we are currently planning to limit our attendance to accommodate 100 people maximum. This means we may unfortunately need to reduce the quantity of people we intended to invite. In the event that we need to do this these people will be notified with their invitation. Should state guidelines get further restrictive we may have to make additional reductions and will reach out to those individuals directly.
We will be creating a seating chart for our attendees. The venue has long farmhouse tables that normally seat 10 people. We will be targeting 6 people or less per table. Unless there’s a family with more than 6 that would be comfortable sitting together, which we will coordinate in advance. If anyone would like to attend the ceremony and cocktail hour but are not comfortable attending the reception, please let us know!
