Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

Since we are having a wedding that requires a ferry ride, we highly recommend arriving to the island the DAY BEFORE the wedding day. The ferries are notorious for being delayed and even cancelled! Please keep in mind that even with a reservation the ferry terminal line gets long. So, make sure to plan accordingly to avoid missing your ferry. Please reach out to Melanie or Jason if you need assistance with your travel itinerary.

Where's the venue?

Answer

The wedding will be held at the Saltwater Farm on Friday Harbor (San Juan Island). It is about a ten minute drive away from the ferry dock. If you plan to stay on the island, please make sure to stay on the 'San Juan Island'. Address: 176 Sea Breeze Lane, Friday Harbor, WA 98250

Do you have a registry?

Will there be a shuttle? Where do we park?

Answer

We will not have a shuttle so please plan accordingly. There are limited parking spaces on the venue; however, guests may park in the Skagit Valley College parking lot that is just a five minute walk to the ceremony ground.

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes they are! There will be a dedicated space near the reception barn where parents are welcome to escape to for any needs like feedings, a quiet space, etc. It will be available for your use after the ceremony. Please reach out to Melanie or Jason if you'd like to take advantage of this space.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Will high heels work for this venue?

Answer

You'll be walking through different areas of the farm that have grass, gravel, and sometimes dirt. If you choose to wear heels, we recommend wearing block heels.
