Travel Authorizations!

Everyone traveling to Jamaica must also request and obtain a Travel Authorization before their flight along with a negative COVID test. These are required for check in and boarding the flight. If you do not have these, you will not be allowed to board the plane. Items needed: passport information, name and address of where you’re staying, and your flight number. Process: 1. Will ask if you’re a resident of Jamaica 2. Enter your email address and request a one time password (good for 10 minutes) 3. Retrieve the OTP from your email, enter it in the form, and verify to start process. 4. Proceed by submitting traveler info and respond to a few health-related Q’s. All applications are assessed immediately with an outcome given onscreen and sent to your email. You may apply for other family members TA but you MUST indicate you applying for “someone else” You must present your TA in print or an electronic device at airline check in and for arrival processing in Jamaica.

COVID-19 Testing Requirements

Everyone 12 and older have to have covid tests within 72 hours of traveling to Jamaica. Accepted test types: 1. RT-PCR: oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal samples 2. NAA 3. RNA or Molecular test 4. Antigen test: Nasopharyngeal sample Not accepted test types: Antibody tests and Home based test kit results Test result sheet REQUIREMENTS: 1. Patient tested 2. Patient DOB 3. Name of testing lab 4. Indication of Lab Credentials (eg: CLIA, ISO 15189) 5. Sample collection date 6. Test type 7. Sample type 8. Test result *Patient tested, DOB, lab report, and passport ALL MATCH* IF YOUVE HAD A POSITIVE COVID TEST WITHIN THE LAST 90 DAYS: You may travel with documentation of your positive viral test results and a letter from your healthcare provider stating you are clear to travel. These two items are your “DOCUMENTATION OF RECOVERY”. Everyone will need either a negative test result or documentation of recovery to board their flight, regardless of vaccination status.
