Like any good love story, ours started at the ballfield - the home dugout of field 10. Truth be told, we had both noticed each other before that practice, but that was our first “official” introduction. I can remember being so nervous. And Robbie, in true Robbie fashion, was cool as could be. I wish I could say things moved along quickly, but that wasnt the case. After the last game of the season, Robbie invited the team back to his house. Me, being the socially awkward nerd that I am, mistakenly thought other adults would be hanging out too. Whoops. Robbie and I had our first “real” conversation June 8, 2019. After months of being friends, he finally asked me out. October 12, 2019, we attended the wedding of two of his classmates. Its at their wedding we finally got to know each other. We talked, laughed, rapped, and danced. I think I fell in love that night (and I know he did)! The last year of my life has been the happiest of all. Robbie has shown me what true love is, and I pray everyday that he feels loved and cared for. True love is real and soulmates do, in fact, exist. Our paths leading to one another haven’t been easy but I’m forever grateful we both pushed through any trial or heartache we’ve experienced to find each other. He and Littleman are exactly who my boys and I needed to be whole. Together, we’re complete. Now, we are family. October 7, 2020, with our boys, Robbie set me out on a scavenger hunt after work. A letter on my pillow sent me on my journey. I drove all over Cordele revisiting places that were of importance to us. My hunt ended after 8 clues that led me to him, surrounded by candles and down on one knee. I cant remember exactly what he said, but I can perfectly visualize the way his eyes looked when he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was a fairytale. A perfect proposal from the man of my dreams.
