FAQs

Utah has some quirky alcohol related things to note: 🚗🍹DUI/BAC Law : Utah has the strictest legal blood alcohol limit in the U.S. — 0.05% for driving — so even a small amount can put you over the limit. Everything is so close together, just grab an uber. ⛰️ Drinking & Elevation Tips — Salt Lake City sits at about 4,200 ft, and higher elevations can cause dehydration faster than you might expect. Drink plenty of water, especially if you’re hiking or spending time outdoors. Alcohol can hit harder at altitude, so pace yourself and enjoy responsibly. 🍸 Bars vs. Restaurants & Drinking Laws: It doesn't matter if you're 21 years old, or 121 years old. They will need to see your ID. Bars, taverns & lounges: Only guests 21+ are allowed inside, and you don’t need food to order drinks. Restaurants: Alcohol can be served with food (even a small item like fries), and minors can be in the restaurant but not in bar areas. Heads up, some restaurants are registered as bars, and are only 21+.
