FAQs

We made a wedding-planning email just for this occasion. If you have other questions, email us at * quinn.and.melanie@gmail.com*
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever the word "snazzy" means to you. We love suits, dresses, jumpsuits, rompers, romphims, and everything in between. Go as fancy as you want, but you don't have to buy or rent anything just to celebrate with us. There will be dancing, a big dinner, and lots of photo-ops, so dress accordingly. (If you want more traditional guidance, however, let's go with "black tie optional")

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We've picked a caterer who is providing us with plenty of vegan options and gluten-free options on the menu, because our hope is that all of our loved ones will be able to fully enjoy our first meal together as Mrs. and Mr. Melanie Vitaterna. Please let us know if you need other dietary accommodations, so we can do the planning and you can just enjoy the party.

Question

How do I get there?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be in the same location, yay! Our venue is a short walk from the Halsted Bus or the Red Line, a less-short walk from the Blue Line, and right off of I-90. There's a parking lot at the venue and free street parking right outside. We'll share the venue name and address on the invitations we send out and update this site closer to the date.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes! If you have children who are able to sit through the ceremony, they are welcome at the wedding and the reception! The reception should mostly be kid friendly, but some of the music played could potentially have some adult language (as could the toasts. Quinn's friends are wild cards). And while Mel is a pre-school teacher, her filter will be off. Should you wish to find a babysitter in the Chicago we are happy to make some recommendations.

Question

Will your dogs be there?

Answer

Quinn is currently working on a way to disguise them

Question

Are you guys really getting married?

Answer

Come to our wedding and find out
