An architecture tour in Chicago is always a must! This is one of Justin and Natalie's favorite activities that they have done together in the city. There are many different companies to choose from, and any of them will provide a wonderful experience.
This was the location of Natalie and Justin's first date and eventually the site of their engagement. Lone Wolf is a tavern in the heart of the West Loop which is home many great restaurants and bars, including the famous Au Cheval which has one of the best burgers in the city.
If you have never visited Chicago, Navy Pier is a great place to go. The pier has numerous restaurants, attractions, events and water front activities in the summer.
Lincoln Park Zoo is located in Chicago's beautiful Lincoln Park neighborhood. It is FREE and close to the lake, beautiful walking paths and parks.
For the guests that are visiting from the East coast, Portillos is a must-try! They have wonderful Italian beef, Chicago style hotdogs and a delicious chocolate cake shake.
While the Cubs will not be in town this weekend, Wrigley Field is one of the oldest ballparks that possesses lots of charm and history. There are tours of the field that are led on a weekly basis and the surrounding neighborhood, Wrigleyville, has many bars and restaurants that are especially fun in the summer.
Chicago's Lakefront Trail provides beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. You can rent bikes or walk along the trail-just be sure to stay out of the bike lines if you do decide to walk! There are plenty of beaches in the city as well should you wish to catch some sun during your visit. Ohio Street Beach would be the closest beach to those staying at The Westin, but there are many beaches to explore and each are unique.
Should you be looking for additional restaurant recommendations, the attached guide has some wonderful options for guests. Some of Justin and Natalie's personal favorite's are J.P Graziano Grocery, Au Cheval, Monteverde, Bavette's and Lone Wolf (for obvious reasons). You can't go wrong with any of the establishments on this list-- we have been to many!
