For those who love coffee, pastries and bagels this is the place, with a few sites in Central Christchurch, this is a nice easy spot to get a quick bite and caffeine fix.

A little out the way in Lyttelton there are beautiful views of Banks Peninsula, as well as a yummy pizza spot Luther and Meike enjoy!
Luther and Meike love a place with live music, OGB is ideally located in Central Christchurch. Open from lunch time with nice outdoor seating. The same owners also have a cool wee bar underground called Austen Club that you need a password to enter (IYKYK or find this on their website).
One of the activities Luther and Meike do together is go disc golfing. One course in particular is in Queenspark, Parklands where Meike grew up.
It is no mistake if you want to venture out to a more secluded spot called Taylors Mistake. Also, there is the Godley Head loop track which is a 3hr loop that can be accessed from Taylors Mistake if you want to do part of this track.
The Christchurch Gardens is a beautiful spot for a walk around, there is the Ilex cafe that you can stop at, close to the rose garden and glasshouse. Also, close to where park runs are held in Hagley Park.
Luther and Meike have done a few motorbike trips to this small town, the drive out that way is lovely and there is a nice cafe with a gallery attached to it that we stop at.
This is the most popular beach in Christchurch. Lots of cafes, restaurants and ice-cream parlours as well as an esplanade overlooking the beach.
Located 1hr outside of Christchurch, it is a beautiful drive to Akaroa on the Banks Peninsula. If you ever have a few days in Christchurch try make the trip out to Akaroa and enjoy the many things Akaroa has to offer.
