Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Jonny and Meghan are having a child free wedding. We understand that this can feel like a burden to families with children, especially families who are traveling from out of town. However, due to the event space capacity, location (on a dark road with no fencing), and over all personal preference the couple has made this choice thoughtfully. We understand if you will be unable to attend the wedding due to this request.

Should I rent a car?

Answer

It depends on where you will be staying, what you would like to do when you are here, and for how long you will be here. San Diego is a large county, with many main attractions (zoo, wild animal park, Sea world, Old Town) being 30 to 40 minutes from Encinitas where the Events will be held. The airport is about 30 minutes from Encinitas. Ride shares are very available as well. Once in Encinitas the beach is walking distance form most hotels and Airbnbs and electric bikes are easily rented as well.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Summer Formal. Gentleman: suits, trousers, button downs collared shirts with jackets etc. Ladies: Dresses, jumpsuits, rompers, or lovely pant suits. Chucky heels, flats or wedges are suggested to ones own comfort as the dining and ceremony will be on the grass lawn. Please no surf formal.

What kind of parking is available at the venue?

Answer

The venue is at the Simon family home in Encinitas. The neighbor has small dark streets with limited parking. At this time the family will not be hiring valet. The accessible parking to the house will be reserved for vender and ADA Guest and family members. Ride shares to the wedding are highly encouraged.

What airport do I fly into and how do I get to Encinitas?

Answer

San Diego International Airport. You can rent a car form the airport or you can take a ride share from the airport your lodging.

What if we cannot make it?

Answer

For our out of towners. Thal and Julie will be hosting a celebration event in Vermont in October. More details to follow.
