An excellent museum showcasing some of the world’s most important impressionist, post-impressionist, and modern paintings, including works by Renoir, Cézanne, Matisse, and Picasso.
Once the most famous and expensive prison in the world – now a museum – this was the world's first true "penitentiary," a prison designed to inspire penitence in the hearts of prisoners. Famous inmates included bank robber "Slick Willie" Sutton and "Scarface" Al Capone.
