It all started with a soft pretzel... no really! On a fateful day in April 2021, Will decided to reply to a photo of Meghan with a giant brewery pretzel on a dating app. After some messages were exchanged about the Philadelphia pretzel scene, we decided to go on our first date at Tria Wine Bar in Rittenhouse Square. Coming out of the height of COVID, we were seated in the outdoor dining huts built on the street – little did we know, we would soon be trapped in a torrential thunderstorm while we enjoyed our wine and conversation. Sitting in our dining hut with an umbrella held out the open-air window to shield ourselves from rain blowing in, we weathered the storm together for three hours! Walking home from that first date, Meghan knew Will was special. Little did she know that Will had only lived in Philly for a few weeks when they met! She sent a message to her Villanova friends about the best first date with an elusive man known as "Georgetown boy." Soon enough, Will was revealed to all as "Georgetown boy" and our love story began! After moving across the country three times in five years, Will was excited to move back to a big city on the east coast – but he didn't expect to move to Philly and find the love of his life within weeks! After those first hours with Meghan in the rain, Will couldn't wait for the next time he would see her. With each new date, Will would Google fun spots in Philly so he had some ideas to offer. But fortunately for him, Meghan knew all the rights spots and over those first few months, she introduced Will to the city, from beers at Cherry Street Pier to morning runs along the Schuylkill – and then to her incredible group of friends. Will got to see what makes Meghan so special: her ability to attract amazing people around her, her dedication and thoughtfulness, her love for simple things (whether it's a good meal or an Eagles win). Since then, they've eaten more amazing meals than they can count, moved into a new home (that Meghan proudly owns!), and traveled across the country and the world together. We love our life together! We are so lucky to call Philadelphia our home and look forward to welcoming you to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.
