FAQs & COVID-19

This is a weird, weird, time and we thank you all for being so flexible and understanding as we navigate planning a wedding in the midst of everything. I've listed as many FAQs as I can think of here, but please feel free to contact me with any other questions you might have. I'll do my best to answer as accurately as possible with whatever information is available! -M
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 31, 2021

Question

Do I have to wear a mask?

Answer

Masks will be enthusiastically welcomed (even provided!) and will be required if local regulations dictate. Please come prepared to wear a mask if you are not fully vaccinated or if you are at increased risk for severe disease. 9/10/2020: As of right now, Governor Abbot's executive order requiring masks in all public places DOES apply to this event. This means that masks ARE required and that requirement will be enforced by the venue staff. Please check back here for updates as we get closer to the date. 11/2/2020: Mask requirement still in effect. 11/25/2020: Mask requirement still in effect. 12/23/2020: Mask requirement WILL be in effect at the wedding and reception. 5/18/2021: Mask requirement lifted only for those who are fully vaccinated in line with CDC guidance. Masks are still welcome, and highly encouraged for those who will not be fully vaccinated and for those at a higher risk for severe disease.

Question

Are vaccinations required?

Answer

Short answer, no. We respect each individual's choices and in any case are unable to effectively monitor the vaccination status of guests. That being said, we highly encourage those that are able to get vaccinated.

Question

How will social distancing be maintained?

Answer

This is a much tougher question, and we don't yet have a good answer. We are looking into creative ways to increase the amount of space available for people to spread out, and ways for people to communicate their social distancing preferences in a fun and celebratory way. Check back here for updates as the date get closer! 12/23/2020: Dance floor will be outside barring inclement weather, social distancing indicator bracelets will be in use, and all tables will be spaced 6+ feet apart. Outdoor seating will also be available! 5/18/2021: As vaccination rates increase, we are hopeful that September will look much safer for events such as this one. Social distancing will still be a consideration, and barring inclement weather we'll be looking for ways to increase the amount of time guests will spend outside.

Question

How many people will be in attendance?

Answer

While we won't have solid numbers of people in attendance until much closer to the wedding, I know that an estimate number may help people make decisions about whether to attend in person or virtually. This is a bit unusual, but I'm going to update this section weekly with the number of confirmed RSVPs so that everyone can make the most informed decision possible. 11/10/2020: 119 confirmed RSVPs 11/25/2020: 175 confirmed RSVPs 12/23/2020: 185 confirmed RSVPs

Question

I am high-risk or don't feel comfortable attending in person. Will there be an option to attend virtually?

Answer

Yes! Our lovely videography team will be live-streaming the ceremony so that anyone who wants to attend may do so. I'll have more details on that later on and they will be posted here.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 5:00! We want everything to be perfect when you arrive.

Question

I have a food allergy, what should I do?

Answer

Please contact us and let us know!

For all the days along the way
