We met at Monday night Aggies for Christ Freshman Devo under the steps of Rudder Tower at Texas A&M. Being from the same hometown, we quickly became friends. After an entire summer of finding excuses to hang out, our first date was on August 8th, 2015. We went out for Italian food and took a walk. We ended up at the Brushy Creek Duck Pond where we sat and talked for hours. By the time the AFC Weeklongs rolled around in January 2016, I knew that Nathan was the one. We went out to Hurricane Harry's with our friends, and we danced to Thomas Rhett's "Die A Happy Man". We knew we had something special then, and we've been a team ever since.

At the Brushy Creek Duck Pond, Nathan was sitting at the bench where we sat for our first date with a big bouquet of roses and a book. Inside the book was a photo album, with pictures documenting our relationship from the beginning. On the last page, there was a caption and the date but no photo. Nathan pulled the ring out from behind a tree, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, and our families came out to surprise us.
