What time should I arrive for the event?

Answer

We recommend you plan to arrive by 5:00pm for our 5:30pm vow renewal; please take into account evening traffic when traveling to the venue. There is parking at our venue but we recommend taking an Uber or Lyft if possible.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred - color and personality are encouraged in the South! It is summer in the Lowcountry so it will be hot and humid so keep that in mind when picking your attire. There will be shade and hopefully a breeze off the water to cool things off. Dancing and dinner will take place in air conditioning. We also recommend wearing footwear with a thicker heel, since the ceremony and cocktail hour will be set up on grass. There will be a tent should it rain (praying to Mother Nature for clear skies).

Can I bring a date or kids?

Each invitation and website RSVP information is appropriately addressed to the guests invited.

How are you handling COVID precautions?

Answer

The newlyweds and the majority of guests are vaccinated; we take safety seriously and are following updates for CDC guidelines closely. Outdoor seating options will be available, hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the venue, and dinner will be stationed with attendants to serve the food. Masks are not required.

How do I get to Alhambra Hall from Downtown?

FROM DOWNTON CHARLESTON: 1. Get on the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge (Cooper River Bridge) 2. Drive over the bridge and stay in right lane indicating “Coleman Boulevard” 3. Stay on Coleman Boulevard and go over Shem Creek Bridge 4. Stay in FAR right lane – you will be going straight into the Old Village on Whilden Street 5. Follow Whilden Street – you will pass a park and tennis courts on the right 6. Turn Right at intersection/ Stop sign at McCants Drive 7. Go straight on McCants this will become Middle Street Drive around a large oak tree –the road will turn to the Left 8. The Hall will be down the road on the Right side – 131 Middle Street 9. Please park in the side lot past the Hall on the right

How do I get to Alhambra Hall from the Isle of Palms area?

FROM HWY 17 NORTH (coming from Sullivan’s Island & Isle of Palms area) 1. Going South on HWY 17 towards Charleston 2. Take 526 business spur exit - go around the loop and onto 526 (not to N. Charleston) 3. 526 will change into Chuck Dawley Boulevard 4. Follow Chuck Dawley -stay in left lane – to Coleman Boulevard 5. Turn Left on to Coleman Boulevard (AKA: Ben Sawyer Boulevard) 6. Turn right at the next light – McCants Drive (there is a CVS drug store on the corner) 7. Follow McCants to the very end where it becomes Middle Street– you will drive around a large oak tree 8. The road will turn to the Left the Hall will be down the road on the Right side – 131 Middle Street 9. Please park in the side lot past the Hall on the right
