The Distillery District
We went here on our first date! It is a popular spot to grab a few casual drinks and food. There are multiple bars and eateries including an arcade bar, wine bar, pizza shop, Mexican restaurant, ice cream and food trucks. our favorite stops are: Goodfellas Pizzeria Desperados Cantina Wise Bird Cider Ethereal Brewing Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream
Battle Axes
Battle Axes is a date night favorite for Meghan and Jason. This facility has axe throwing, go carts, laser tag, airsoft, corn hole, pool tables, a rage room, and a zip line. It is a fun place to grab a drink and snack from the bar and then play multiple games.
Kentucky Horse Park
The Kentucky Horse Park is a historic park of Lexington culture and the epicenter of equestrian competition. Meghan competes here multiple times each year! KHP is full of fun activities. Check out the breed museums, meet retired champion race horses, go for a trail ride, or simply walk the grounds.
University of Kentucky
Take a walk through campus and explore where Meghan and Jason attended school. The campus has an arboretum and plenty of historical buildings to discover.
Amsden Coffee Club
Meghan's favorite coffee shop in the heart of downtown Versailles. a charming little shop with freshly made pastries from the Midway Bakery.
Vallozzi’s
Located a few doors down from Amsden in Versailles, Vallozzi's is a favorite of both Meghan and Jason. This restaurant features wonderful Italian dishes and a quaint atmosphere. They fill up fast and do not have many seats at the bar so plan to make a reservation ahead of time!
Woodford Reserve Distillery
Woodford Reserve is a beautiful distillery tour located right in Versailles. Kentucky is known for their bourbon and proudly offers a tour series called The Bourbon Trail. Visitors can go behind the scenes at the distilleries to learn about the history and tradition of bourbon. Most tours also offer a tasting room experience while on the tour. Thoroughbred Farm tours
This area is highly populated with thoroughbred farms that are open to the pubic for tours to see the grounds and meet the horses. The prestigious farms closest to Versailles are Lane's End, WinStar, Three Chimneys, Coolmore, Airdrie, and Godolphin at Gainsborough Farm. follow the link to pick a whichever farm interests you the most! Midway, KY
Midway is a darling little town down the road from Versailles. It has a working railroad running through the Main Street area. Main Street is full of excellent restaurants.
