A Few Things to Know
Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is a lot reserved for our use at Mitchell Elementary School around the corner. It is less than a 4 minute walk. Check out our Travel Page for a map! If you are feeling bold, you are also able to self park on the streets surrounding the venue.

Question

Is there additional transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We’ve set up a Lyft Discount for people looking to ride share. It’s valid between O’Hare, Midway, the Hotel and the Venue between 11/26- 11/30 at 6:00PM. Type in JACKANDMEG1129 into the Lyft Pass Section of the “Payment” tab in the App Menu.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. The few little ones you will see have special roles to play during our ceremony.

I've never been to a Jewish Wedding. What should I expect?

Answer

Hey, no worries! We gotcha. Here's a quick glossary for some terms you might encounter. Chuppah- The Canopy under which the couple is wed. The 4 posts symbolize the home the couple will build together. Ketubah - Marriage Contract Mitzvah - A meritorious or Charitable act, or a "good deed" Hora - A traditional dance performed while holding hands in a circle. It is customary at weddings to raise the bride and groom up in chairs while they wave a handkerchief.
