Get there early & order the Mai Tai with lillikoi foam and watch the sunset on the lawn before your res The Tasting Room - Wine bar with a mixed tapas style menu Poipu Poke Shack - A must! Located inside the Kuku'ula Market - authentic, fresh-caught tuna poke plates. Great for takeout to enjoy at the beach Da Crack - Next to the Kuku'ula Market, this spot serves up the best burritos if you’re not into poke Tidepools - At the Hyatt, this pretty restaurant sits atop manmade tidepools with koi fish. Grab a drink and watch the sunset on the beach before your reservation. Eating House 1849 - a favorite in the Kuku'iula shopping center. Get the butterfish clay pot if you want everyone to be jealous of your order Merriman's Kauai - a classic seafood spot La Spezia - Cute little Italian spot in Koloa town. They have a great brunch on the weekends
Beaches to Visit
Allerton Beach (South Shore) - this is our favorite beach, but considered a 'secret beach' and is a short hike down. Drive to the end of Lawai Road until you see the gate where you will see cars parked. Step over the rock wall and keep walking down the dirt road and you will find the trailhead. Poipu Beach (South Shore) - the other beach we often visit where the main strip of hotels are Kukui’ula Harbor (South Shore) Mahaulepu Beach (South Shore) Shipwreck Beach (South Shore) Polihale State Park (West Shore) Hanalei Bay (North Shore) Tunnels (North Shore) Anini Beach (North Shore)
